About
Erica Zinkie oversees OneDigital’s in-house legal and risk department, providing legal counsel and business advice to the organization’s senior leadership. She leads a legal team that advises on general corporate law, regulatory compliance, data privacy & security, real estate law, M&A integration, contract law, employee benefits law and employment law. In addition to leading the legal function, she also oversees the enterprise risk management and licensing functions and serves as the Corporate Privacy Officer.
Erica joined OneDigital in 2016 as VP, Legal Counsel, using her expertise in the technical requirements of employer-sponsored health and welfare plans to provide compliance consulting to clients regarding employee benefit compliance obligations.
Prior to joining OneDigital, Erica worked with individual employees and insurance brokers, and advised employers, non-profit organizations, and governmental entities of all sizes regarding legal compliance issues with a variety of employment-related issues, including health and welfare employee benefits, employment discrimination and harassment, employment contracts, and employer communications. Additionally, she regularly spoke at various local and national industry conferences and seminars on current and emerging employee benefits issues.
Education, Certifications, and Involvement
Erica received a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Georgia State University. Erica is a member of the Georgia Bar Association, Georgia Bar Association Privacy & Technology Section, Georgia Bar Association Employee Benefits Section, Georgia Bar Association Corporate Counsel Section and the Association of Corporate Counsel (“ACC”).
